Hurt

弄伤;伤害;(感情上的)伤心或痛苦

首先是最常见的hurt。它做及物动词时表示“使受伤;使疼痛”，可以直接跟宾语，比如“hurt oneself"意为把自己弄伤。

例句：She had seriously hurt herself while trying to evacuate from the plane.

她在企图从飞机中逃生时受了重伤。

做形容词时，hurt意思是”受伤的;痛苦的"。比如询问旅客是否受伤，我们可以问“ Sir, are you hurt?"

Graze/Scrape

擦伤;擦破皮

可做及物动词和名词。

例句： He had grazed his elbow a little.

他的胳膊肘擦破了一点皮。

Although my grazes are not serious, they are painful.

尽管我的擦伤并无大碍，但伤口却很疼。

Bruise 瘀伤

bruise 做可数名词时意为”瘀伤;青肿“。比如 There is a large bruise on my cheek.我脸上有一大块瘀伤。

它也可以做动词，表示”受瘀伤“。比如 The passenger had bruised his knee. 这位旅客碰伤了他的膝盖。

Sprain/ Pull

拉伤;扭伤

例如： The passenger has a sprain in his left ankle.

这位旅客的左脚踝扭伤了。

Pull做”拉伤“时，常见搭配有” pull the muscles"或“pull a muscle”，表示拉伤肌肉。
